Nashville 2008 Logo Information Committee

Report - 07 August 2007

1. Last time, John Schneider negotiated the number of hours the CVB would provide concierges at the CVB table (which was right next to our information tables last time). Last time John alloted me 72 hours of CVB help for their table, which was one concierge on Monday and Friday (18 hours) and two concierges on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (54 hours). I need to know whether we will have a CVB table staffed by them this time.

2. Last time, CVB provided maps, restaurant guides, etc, for both our information table and their CVB table. I need to know what they will provide this time.

3. Will we have a shared phone with CVB as we did last time or will we be ask to use our own cell phones?

4. We will require a total of 8 ten foot tables - 4 in front with chairs for volunteers answering questions and 4 behind with the maps, brochures, etc. I don't remember who provided these last time, but I assume it was the Convention Center.

5. The shifts for volunteers will be 9 AM to 1:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 6 PM. We will need four volunteers per shift . This is a total of 44 slots. Assuming each volunteers signs up for at least 2 slots, this requires about 20 volunteers. I will do what I can to get volunteers for the information booth, but I estimate we will need at least 10 additional people from the general volunteer pool.

Most of the details relating to the information booth can be worked out later, but it will be helpful to have answers to the above points as soon as possible.
